Call for Mentor Volunteers
We recognize how important mentoring is to career success so NABA NY chapter has decided to implement a mentoring program for student members who are seniors. The program, which will be led by the Student Member Services Committee ("SMS"), will begin as a pilot called NABA NY 'Lifting as You Climb Mentoring Program'!
To get started, SMS is looking for 20 volunteer mentors. If you have at least 5 years of professional experience, and are at a manager level or above, we need your help with this initiative. Mentors will work with mentees to guide them through the transition from college graduate to the business professional. The mentoring partnership would be 12 months long requiring at a minimum monthly touch points by email/text/phone and in person meeting quarterly. Click here for program overview.
If you are interested in serving as a mentor or learning more about the program, please contact Sean Hill (SMS Chair & program leader) at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please respond by Friday, January 26th.
A kick-off event for the program is planned for Saturday morning, March 10th at EY’s 5 Times Square office from 9:00 am to 12:00pm, of which attendance is mandatory for mentees and mentors. At this kick-off, program details will be covered, mentors/ mentees introductions will occur, and the SMS Mentoring team will facilitate icebreaker activities and share program guidelines. More details to come on specific date, time and location of the kick of event.
