Financial Reporting Analyst

What is the opportunity?

As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you will ensure regulatory reports for RBC Bank are prepared accurately and within established timeframes.  You will also ensure that the annual financial statements and notes are prepared accurately and timely while making certain that supporting schedules for RBC USA Holdco Corporation and RBC are prepared and submitted accurately and timely. Additionally, you will execute established financial reporting controls as applicable and support overall Finance deliverables as needed.

What will you do?

  • Prepare regulatory reports to be incorporated into the RBC USA Holdco regulatory filings (FR Y-9C and FFIEC-009, FR Y-15, 14Q/14A)
  • Prepare the quarterly Call Report (Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income)
  • Represent RBC Bank in various reporting working groups
  • Prepare supporting financial schedules for the NY tax team
  • Prepare financial statement schedules
  • Prepare the weekly FR2644 selected balances and FR2900 Cash Report
  • Work with senior Finance staff to implement new reporting and accounting guidance
  • Execute on established financial reporting control controls
  • Identify opportunities for automation
  • Maintain and update procedures
  • Reconciliations
  • Assist external auditors with data requests

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 2-4 year's experience in the accounting field   (public accounting experience preferred)
  • University degree (required)
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Self-motivated professional
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Proven written communications skills
  • Comfortable engaging with internal and external auditors
  • Ability to deliver on tight timelines when required
