Position Description

Responsibilities for the Private Equity Associate include the following activities:

Position Description:

Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) is seeking a Manager to join its Internal Audit Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing audit coverage of MSIM’s Traditional and Merchant Banking business. The candidate should be familiar with the overall investment management process. The Manager will be involved in the development, planning and performing of internal audits. Such involvement would include:

  • Scope determination, development of audit planning memorandums, performance of test work and report writing;
  • Execution of the audit plan within departmental methodology, procedures and standards;
  • On-going communication with business line management to discuss the status of business changes as well as perform follow-up on previously identified audit issues.

Treasury - Balance Sheet Management

Position Description:

Morgan Stanley’s Corporate Treasury Department is seeking a Senior Manager work as part of a team to implement and maintain a state of the art balance sheet management software.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute towards net interest income modeling of Morgan Stanley’s domestic banking entities. The candidate will be part of the Bank Treasury team which is responsible for liquidity, capital planning, deposit management and net interest income modeling.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Interfacing with the project management team and other bank treasury professionals to implement QRM ALM
  • software
  • Collecting data attributes and developing modeling routines to aid in developing net interest income modeling outputs
  • Manage ad-hoc analysis leveraging appropriate software applications (e.g., running "what if" and "stress" scenario analysis of actual and theoretical portfolios).
  • Develop and present new risk analytic reports (liquidity, interest rate risk, capital associated) for senior treasury management, business partners and regulators.

Position Description:

The Balance Sheet Sr Manager will be responsible for managing the Balance Sheet production process and financial analysis for various products within across the Fixed Income and Equity Divisions. These analyses are intended to provide management with relevant information regarding the divisions balance sheet and net risk positions. They will be coordinating quarterly due diligence analysis, consolidating the average balance sheet reporting related to the firms external disclosures and accommodating management with any ad-hoc requests. Additionally, the individual will be involved with the integration of a new internal reporting system.

The individual is expected to demonstrate flexibility and to deliver consistently under tight deadlines.

Position Description:

Successful applicant will report to senior attorneys advising a national banking association and a U.S. broker-dealer. Specific duties will include: Advising mortgage business and its officers on day-to-day mortgage activities and transactions Managing and/or coordinating with other attorneys and legal personnel providing such advice. Advising mortgage business senior management on legal matters relating to governance, compliance with residential real estate and banking laws and regulations, and operations. Advising on policies and procedures relating to mortgage activity. Advising on residential real estate products and services, marketing materials and disclosures.

 

       

Skills Required:

Seven (7) to fifteen (15) years experience as a practicing attorney in financial services area advising on residential mortgage origination, applicable laws and regulations associated with residential real estate, and complex transactions and documentation involving real estate. Experience with all facets of the residential mortgage business and in depth understanding of regulations including RESPA, Safe Act, Regulation Z, and mortgage licensing laws and regulations strongly preferred. Private practice with top law firm and/or in-house legal experience advising on residential real estate activities involving high net worth individuals desirable.
