Come out and participate in NABA New York’s Annual Day of Service to kick off FY17.  We will be partnering with City Harvest, which is a food rescue organization dedicated to helping feed the nearly 1.4 million New Yorkers facing hunger.   The mission of the organization is to end hunger in communities throughout New York City through food rescue and distribution, education, and other practical, innovative solutions.

We will be assisting City Harvest by volunteering at their open-air Mobile Market in Washington Heights.  This involves distributing pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to families in the area.  The Washington Heights Prince Hall Mobile Market event will take place on Saturday, July 23rd at 454 West 155th Street, New York, NY 10032 from 8:45am to 12:00pm.

AIDS Walk New York

I’m Kenneth Cooke, NABA Inc., Chairman of the Board and this May, I will be joining 30,000 caring people in Central Park for AIDS WALK NY (click to register). I have set an ambitious fundraising goal and need your help to achieve it! We have come a long way since the beginning, but we still see more than 50,000 new infections every year nationwide.

Although we have made great strides in fighting HIV/AIDS, we do not yet have a cure, new infection rates are still too high at 50,000 each year nationwide, and too many people living with HIV don’t have access to basic resources they need to survive and stay healthy.

That’s where we come in. Will you please sponsor me for AIDS Walk New York? To securely donate online, click on the link to my personal donation page here: https://ny.aidswalk.net/ken2bfree. Checks for any amount can be made out to "AWNY" with my name in the memo and sent to: AIDS Walk New York, P.O. Box 7607, New York, NY 10116. Thank you for supporting me in this critically important effort.

We hope to see you at this year’s AIDS Walk on Sunday, May 15!
