SENIOR FISCAL ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Projected Salary Range: $ Competitive – commensurate with experience

Position Description:
The Senior Fiscal Accounting Manager (SFAM) will initially report to the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer (CFAO) and will ultimately report to the Controller once that position has been filled. The SFAM will work closely with all members of the Fiscal Team to achieve accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting.

The SFAM will gain a solid understanding of the financial, regulatory and management accounting and reporting requirements of AEA. The responsibilities of this position will support meeting these requirements and will include:

  • Assisting in execution of general accounting procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial information is maintained in the general ledger
  • Review of cash receipts, cash disbursements and journal vouchers prior to posting in the general ledger
  • Assisting in the maintenance of accrual accounting practices, i.e. accrued expense, prepaid expenses and accrued revenues.
  • Preparation of monthly account analysis and reports for internal and management use
  • Assist in the preparation of information supporting the external auditor of AEA’s accounts & records
  • Conduct selected accounting projects as assigned by the CFAO and Controller

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting; CPA preferred
  • Experienced in financial accounting and the application of accounting principles and policies to business operations
  • Demonstrated success in working as part of team influencing colleagues to achieve desired results.
  • 5 + years of public accounting, corporate and/or non-profit experience
